What’s the best tournament to visit?

We enjoy every tournament for different reasons, so it can depend on what you're looking for! Out of the non-Grand Slams, our packages to the Masters 1000 BNP Paribas Open are popular for tennis players who love playing in our daily morning tennis clinics. If you're excited to travel internationally, sign up for the Monte-Carlo Rolex Masters! Take a helicopter from Nice, France to Monaco and enjoy one of the most stylish destinations in tennis. Our sales agents have been to every tournament and can provide great insight into what each tournament has to offer!

When should I book my tour?

For international events, we recommend booking six months out. We typically have our packages ready and available online 8 months before the tournament begins. For domestic (US) tournaments, we suggest booking three months out, or more. Of course, we will always take some last-minute bookings, but the sessions and seats that you want might be sold out! Whenever you choose to book, you can do so by purchasing your package online, or getting in touch with us via email or phone.

Do you offer any discounts?

Yes, we offer a Return Customer Discount of 5% (up to a maximum of $650 per person per package) on all travel packages. (Not including ticket-only purchases.) Additionally, we run occasional promotions throughout the year. View our Promotional Policies page for more information.

What is Grand Slam Tennis Tours?

Grand Slam Tennis Tours and Topnotch Tennis Tours are partner companies that operate side-by-side. When you purchase a package for one of the Grand Slams (Australia, Roland Garros, Wimbledon, US Open), you are booking with Grand Slam Tennis Tours. When you purchase a package for any of the smaller tennis tournaments, such as BNP, Monte-Carlo, or Laver Cup, you are booking with Topnotch Tennis Tours! Either way, you will work with the same dedicated staff, who are excited to welcome you on your dream tennis vacation.

Why is Wimbledon so expensive?

The Wimbledon Championships is one of the most prestigious sporting events in the world, with some of the most desirable and expensive tickets. Wimbledon's Centre Court seats less than 15,000 people and one entire baseline is reserved for the Royal Box. Only 2,500 seats in Centre Court are Debenture Seats, which is the only type of ticket that we work with. Debentures are some of the best seats in the house and are the only ones that can be legally bought and sold on the open market. Most of the remaining tickets are reserved for SW19 residents and for the Queue, so they are unavailable for international purchase. We have incredible access to great seats at Wimbledon, that are otherwise unattainable for visitors. We consider it a privilege to attend Wimbledon, and we are honored to bring many excited tennis fans to this truly exceptional tournament!

I keep hearing about your Wimbledon house; what is it?

Our house at Wimbledon is a private home, only a 3 minute walk from the All-England Club gates. At the House we host a daily brunch cooked by a private chef, evening cocktails, special events, exclusive parties, concerts, and more!

What if it rains?

The show courts of the Australian Open, Roland-Garros, Wimbledon, and US Open are all covered. For the outer courts and some smaller tournaments, play may be delayed due to rain. If matches are canceled due to weather or other reasons, seat privileges will be lost for that day, and no rain checks will be issued. Luckily, tennis tournaments are held in some beautiful areas of the world and total rain-out days are rare.

What are the chances of meeting my favorite player?

The chances of sitting down for a drink with your favorite player are slim, but we have excellent seats close to the action at many of the tournaments we attend. Additionally, we invite special tennis guests to our welcome dinners, so often, our guests have the chance to meet a current or former pro player!

I'm a beginner tennis player, but my wife played Division I tennis in college. Can we both come to the tennis playing opportunity or Fantasy Tennis Camp?

Of course! Our TNTT pros are excellent at pairing up players so that everyone has fun. It's really helpful for us to know your tennis-playing level ahead of time, so if you're signed up for one of our clinics, let us know if you're a former college player, a 3.5 USTA doubles league player, or a beginner. Check out the NRTP rating scale for reference.

Will you provide racquets at the tennis clinic?

Yes, we will! You’re welcome to bring your own racquet, but if you’d prefer not to travel with one we'll always have extra racquets for you to use. Often, these are spares owned by our own teaching pros, so they are good quality racquets.

Is it okay if I'm a single traveler?

Of course! Our trips attract people of all kinds, and we always have solo travelers on our trips. Many events offer great opportunities to meet people: at the tennis clinic, in the suite, during brunch at the Wimbledon House, etc. and we enjoy helping people make new friends.

What time is Coco Gauff playing at the US Open next year?

Great question and one we receive often. The players' draw is only released a few days before the tournament, and the exact schedule of play (court placement and match time) is only published the evening prior, so there is no way to be certain that, eg. Coco will play on September 1st during the day session of the US Open, 6 months ahead of the tournament.

To give yourself the best chance at watching your favorite top player, we recommend buying tickets for a few consecutive sessions over at least two days. For example, the first round at the US Open spans the first two days of the tournament, and thus four sessions (Monday day and night, and Tuesday day and night). If you want to see Coco, your best bet is to buy tickets to all four sessions. Assuming she doesn't withdraw due to injury or illness, we know that she has to play the first round, and therefore, if you're on Ashe for the first four sessions, you're very likely to see her (and all the other top players!) Our sales agents have traveled to many tournaments and seen many schedule scenarios play out, so when in doubt, they can guide you to the sessions that are most likely to feature your favorite player.

Is airfare included?

Airfare is not included in any of our packages. We wrote a blog post on how to book your own flights, which is the easiest and cheapest way to get your airfare. Our packages are customizable, so if you want to fly in on Monday instead of Tuesday, no problem, we can add on a hotel night for you!

Why are your tickets on sale before the public on-sale date?

Our partnerships with tournaments allow us advance access to premium tickets. That means: 1) you can snag the best seats early and make travel plans with plenty of time, and 2) you can’t buy these specific locations anywhere else.

Who will I meet at the Welcome Dinner?

The welcome dinner is a great opportunity to get to know your fellow travelers; we’ve had many friendships (and even a few marriages!) sparked on our tours. You may also meet a tennis celebrity or two. Some of our past special guests have included Caroline Garcia, Reilly Opelka, the Bryan Brothers, Tracy Austin, Fred Stolle, Patrick McEnroe and many others! This is also a great time to connect with your tour hosts and ask any questions that you might have about your trip.

Is travel insurance available?

We do not offer travel insurance, but we do offer our own GSTT travel protection for your trip purchase. View the details in our Booking Contract, under "Trip Protection". You do have the option to purchase external travel insurance; simply present your GSTT invoice to a travel insurance company, and protect your trip.
